Guardian Home Information and Requirements
At BrewerDoodles, we believe every dog deserves a loving home—not life in a kennel. That’s why we offer a Guardian Home Program—a special opportunity that allows us to responsibly grow our breeding program while ensuring each dog receives the love, care, and companionship of a forever family.
What Is a Guardian Home?
Guardian homes provide one of our breeding dogs with a permanent, loving family while BrewerDoodles retains breeding rights for a set number of litters or years. Once a dog completes their breeding career, we cover the cost of spay/neuter, and the dog becomes fully yours with no further obligations.

Guardian Home Requirements
Location
Must live within 2 hours of Mt. Pleasant, TN for a female.
Must live within 1.5 hours for a male.
Flexibility required for occasional vet appointments, testing, and breeding drop-offs.
Breeding Terms
Females: Typically bred starting at their 2nd heat (14–16 months). They may have up to 4–5 litters, depending on their health. Pregnancy occurs about twice a year, and they retire by age 5 or earlier if necessary.
Males: May be bred for up to 6–7 years, though this can vary. Males stay with us for 3–5 days as needed, typically with 24–48 hours’ notice.
Core Expectations
Guardians are responsible for standard pet care, including:
Food (approved by BrewerDoodles)
Vaccines and deworming
Flea/tick prevention (approved brands only)
Grooming and hygiene
Basic training: house/crate, leash, and basic commands
BrewerDoodles handles:
All breeding-related costs
Spay/neuter once the contract is fulfilled
Home & Lifestyle Requirements
Secure, fenced yard or a leash/tether system while outdoors
Female dogs in heat must be on leash at all times outside the yard
Males must be supervised when outdoors
The dog must live primarily indoors, especially in bad weather
Guardians must not own any other unaltered dogs
Dog parks are not permitted under contract
Must provide a stable, loving home and inform us of any major changes
Guardian must not move more than 2 hours away during the contract period
Communication
Keep open and timely communication with BrewerDoodles
Notify us of any serious health concerns and the first signs of heat in females
Share photos regularly—we love updates!
Do you get to choose your puppy?
If we have more than one dog available for guardianship, or you would specifically like a Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle in a certain gender, you are welcome to choose when we have more than one option available, or be on a waitlist until the gender and breed you would like becomes available.
